Manek Chowk in Ahmedabad is a must visit for any foodie. But what surprised me was the recommendation by our hosts in Ahmedabad airbnb - Pineapple Cheese Chocolate Sandwich. This was really a weird combo to my ears. But when I saw queue of people waiting for this sandwich, I knew it is going to be something good. Manek Sandwich Center is really in middle of the Manek Chowk serving fresh sandwiches and pizzas to literally crowds of people.
Our sandwich had sweet canned pineapple in the base with a good layer of chocolate spread accompanied with chunky choco chips. The sandwich was topped with heap of grated processed cheese. The sandwich was obviously sweet but the combination was really amazing. The savory cheese was complementing the sweetness of pineapple. The chocolate enhanced the overall appeal of the sandwich. The sandwich is worth trying.
